strange. I tested in 3 different desktops and it is wroking fine. Could you specify your device. Also it would be good if you can provide a screenshot of that to better understand the issue.
Do you have the “Narrow document layout” option enabled?
No, but I disabled PowerPack2 and it worked fine then. So there must be some interference from that add-on. But PP2 is essential for me now.

it should not interfare with PP2 that’s my highest priority. even i have installed PP2 and seems to have no problem. Do one thing: go to PP2 settings, copy it and paste it here. I’ll import those settings and look into this.

i imported the settings given by you and it’s working fine… no whitespace. is it happening with all documents? try opening 2 simple docs (with few texts) side by side and see. Also, see if there’s any console error in chrome (CTRL+SHIFT+I)… see for red lines… if yes paste it here.
OK I tried that and de-activated the added styles, but same result. I couldn’t find any error messages.
Hi Kevin, I’m not able to reproduce this issue from my side. if you could find which css class is causing that whitespace to occur then i can hide that class in my script.

This is really nice, thanks Jerry!! Sorry to be the one to follow that up with a request but at some point could you (A - ideally) make the central bar adjustable so you can change the size of the two windows or (B) make them take up equal space when you close the navigation pane (at the moment the ‘extra’ pane remains at the smaller size)?

A) I am already working on it. needs some extra work to implement it but i’ll get it done.
B) I intentionally kept it this way because:
a.) resizing 2 documents (when closing/opening pane) would affect the user experience.
b.) right pane is secondary document primarily opened to refer something. So more width should be given to the primary document (left pane) where the user would work upon.
However, these are just my personal opinions which could be different from others. I could add a settings which would toggle “Auto-adjust” doc pane width.
