The idea of a customizable toolbar has been brought up in several other requests (1, 2, 3). There is an old poll about this topic as well, but I couldn’t find any followup.
The main issues I see are:
- The organization of the tools don’t make sense to some people
- Most people only use some of the tools and would like to declutter the toolbar
- The current horizontal scroll is non-obvious, so tools to the right may be missed
- The meanings of some icons are not obvious at a glance
I understand this might be difficult for technical reasons, but I’m curious what the team and other users think.
