Workflowy Import - Server Error

Steps to reproduce

Starting from scratch, what are the steps to make the bug happen? The fewer the steps, the better.

  • Starting the import from workflowy feature on the web app
  • putting in credentials
  • dynalist starts imports process
  • message is displayed “Server Error”
  • no nodes are imported from Workflowy

Expected result

What do you expect to see after carrying out the steps above?

  • imported nodes

Actual result

Instead of the expected result, what happened?

  • nothing, error message

Environment

Which operating system are you using? Which browser are you using? If you’re using a desktop or mobile app, what’s the version number of Dynalist?

Mac OS X 10.13.3 (17D102), Chrome Version 65.0.3325.162 (Official Build) (64-bit), Dynalist: I guess the newest version when I am using the online webapp

Could you try a few more times? I just tried and it works fine for me.

It’s caused by not hearing back from their server after a certain amount of time has passed. It could also be because your WorkFlowy is way too big to send over in one request.

In that case, I recommend copying over your content section by section. WorkFlowy content will copy to OPML and will be recognized when pasted into Dynalist.
