Incorrect cursor placement default for links?

Steps to reproduce

Starting from scratch, what are the steps to make the bug happen? The fewer the steps, the better.

  1. Create any new bullet point
  2. Add some normal text
  3. Add some link target text
  4. Make target text a link (ctrl-k)
  5. Click any other bullet
  6. Try to click ‘the far right’ of your text and link bulleted entry.

Expected result

What do you expect to see after carrying out the steps above?

Lorem [Linkum] (URLDatum) [insertion-cursor]

Actual result

Instead of the expected result, what happened?

Lorem [Linkum] {insertion-cursor} (URLDatum)

Environment

Which operating system are you using?

Which browser are you using?

Additional information

Generally, when I click at the end of a line, I anticipate being able to start typing right away, so muscle memory has me typing in the correct location each time. So, I then have to cut/paste to end of line.

I can’t seem to get the same results. Windows 10 + Chrome latest. No PowerPack.

Interesting. Your screenshot shows exactly the behavior I’d expect. Odd, let me try to reproduce again tomorrow, removing the non-standard stuff. Will report back.

Odd, before I could reproduce this every time. Now I cannot reproduce it even once. I guess… working as intended for now!

Let me know if you ever find out why!
