Fixed Width font as an option

It would be great to have a fixed width font available as an option - there are a lot of use cases but the most obvious is to draw tables and boxes using the appropriate special characters in such a way that as the list moves around and adjusts, the tables and boxes remain rectangular

Have you tried the ā€œConsolasā€ font option?

Chrome provides font preview in the dropdown but I understand that some browsers donā€™t have it.
