It is an interruption to a user’s flow when they have to stop typing and click the + to create a new file. It would be beneficial for users to be able to create a new file on the fly/in the moment by using the [[ ]] linking method. Once I type the [[ it should give me the dropdown as it does, but if the file I want to create doesn’t exist, I should be able to create it simply by putting it in the brackets.
For all of its faults, this is one of Roam’s best features.
