When you move, delete, check, etc. items, should focus then move to the item below, or to the item above?

I vote they change it to always move down to the next item in the list.

  • move up the list, focus on the item that was above
  • move down the list, focus on the item that was below

@pottster why do you prefer going bottom-to-top when going thru ur list?

It’s not so much a preference. It depends, for example, on how you have your Inbox sorted. There is a setting in Dynalist to add new items to the top or the bottom of your Inbox. Depending on which setting you choose you might want to work top down or bottom up to process in chronological sequence. So, I think, rather than ask β€œwhich do you prefer?”, it would be better to ask for an equivalent Dynalist setting to move up or down after processing, so users could choose (or it could be implicit depending on where you add new items). This is not an uncommon debate. It’s one of the reasons why in Excel there is a configurable default setting to move focus down/up/left/right after pressing Enter.

Yes agree about interaction with this function - should be a similar option to switch it ideally
