I use the ! to insert the date, but there are some items nested under that I want to track the time on. I’d like to have a shortcut similar to the date shortcut to accomplish this. I haven’t found any instructions elsewhere on how to do this.

or use a keyboard macro app that auto-replaces your chosen word with the current time, e.g. https://espanso.org/docs/matches/#date-extension
