i know how to remove checkboxes after they are there, but on my main page, every time i hit enter to add something new it adds a checkbox! idk how i even turned this setting on and i really want to turn it off but cant find anything! please help me out!!

Try the hamburger menu of the parent/ancestor item/s and look for “Add Checkbox to Children” …you may have toggled it on.
Also, open Settings (gear icon), under the Keymap Window Tab type “check” into the searchbar to see if you may have set some manner of keystroke for affecting changes.

OMG IT FINALLY WORKED!!! THANK YOU!!! u were right in ur first suggestion, idk if something is wrong with my macbook or what but it didnt work when i tried it the first time but i kept trying it, it froze and finally it worked they auto checkboxes are gone!!! i have never seen seen that option about the add or remove things to children cuz i just never use it so i have absolutely no idea how it got switched on, i must have accidently hit a key combo or something but thank fuck THANK YOUUUUUU!!!
only other question i have is no my emojis arent showing up? i try to add one to my titles and when i click emoji and symbols nothing comes up? any idea?

hello me again, just wondering how to remove the checkboxes on mobile? it worked on my mac laptop but is still somehow there on my pixel phone
