I like the Open file finder's most recently used (MRU) algorithm. However, other MRU file switchers that I’ve enjoyed the best all list the most recent file at the top—which I find to be a better workflow. In Dynalist the top item is the current file which makes me have to hit the down arrow 
key and then enter to get back to the previous file.
I would like to see the Open file finder updated to not show the current file so that typing enter will take me directly to the previous file
