Moving items between documents (API)

moving items from one document to another is not possible with the current Api , right? Do I need to copy the entire item tree?

In my app I have to delete and recreate between documents at the moment

Agree. This is what I was doing (delete and recreate in the other list) but it does not work if the items has sub items! It would be good to be able to move to a different document with the API
