Firstly, I love the ease of use of colour you have implemented in dynalist, it really helps me visually understand my lists.
I was wondering if you might think about taking this to another level by adding a feature which might be called āminiā colour labels
This feature was possible with the help of third party apps in workflowy (which effectively turned certain tags into coloured blocks), and is used in trello as can be seen below:
These would add a second dimension of colour which could have a different āmeaningā for the user with many use cases. There are many different visual implementations that could work, but hereās an example:
Agreed, theyāre also not covered in the tutorial either. And while I donāt personally use them myself, I think it would be good to highlight them in the introductions.
It was because the home page and the tutorial are both made before making this feature⦠looks like we need to look back and redo these things every few months then
Darn, thread got a bit hijacked @Erica regarding the mini color labels, do you think they are something we could see one day in dynalist or do they not fit with what you guys are going for / would be difficult to implement?
I think when tag pane gets implemented, itās possible for us to add background color to tags, as a sort of mini-tag. Colored tags are better than mini-tags in my opinion because they have more semantic meaning.
When we have that, mini-labels also seem like an overkill and would be more confusing than useful (āoh man, there are THREE ways to add color?!ā).
