I've got an item named "Gift Ideas" but CMD+O won't find it?

Maybe I’ve misunderstood the purpose of CMD+O but I’ve got an item named “Gift Ideas” under my “Notebook” document, but when I press the keyboard shortcut and type in “Gift” it doesn’t show any matches. How do I jump to other items? Am I supposed to just bookmark everything I want to be able to jump to??
