How to use the offline mode

Hello,

Is there a blog post or something explaining how the offline mode for pro users work and what is it meant for? I couldn’t find it anywhere.

If not could someone explain the following points please?

  1. Is offline mode suitable for sensitive data? Meaning if I have something that I can’t upload to just any cloud for privacy concerns, I would be fine putting that into dynalist as long as I keep it offline?
  2. What happens when I use dynalist both offline and online, resulting in a mismatch between the 2 versions of it, and then I switch the offline version back to online?
  3. If there a way to make everything synced and stored in my laptop at the same time, preventing loss of access to my work or even data when servers go down?
  4. And also is there a local folder for dynalist? How can I be sure that my work is being saved in offline mode?

Thank you!
Matej

Currently, there isn’t an official blog post explaining Dynalist’s offline mode in detail. Offline mode stores data locally, so sensitive information remains on your device if not synced. If using both offline and online, mismatches may occur, but Dynalist attempts to resolve conflicts. There’s no dedicated local folder, but data is saved in offline mode. To avoid data loss, consider regularly exporting your documents or using offline mode during server downtime.

Hey Matej, offline mode stores your data locally in the browser (not in a visible folder), so as long as you don’t sync, your sensitive info stays on your device. If you go back online after editing offline, Dynalist will try to merge changes, but conflicts can happen and usually prompt you to choose. There’s no automatic way to save everything to your computer, so exporting regularly is the safest bet to prevent data loss.
