Steps to reproduce
create item, add bold formatting, bookmark, remove bold formatting on original item
Expected result
bookmark stops displaying the markup asterisks
Actual result
markup tags remain

Can reproduce.
I guess that the bookmark should never display the Markdown characters, never display any styling: just plain text.
Probably instead of fixing this at the moment, the move to WYSIWYG will fix this automatically. Thereās considerable work to be done before that can be implemented though.
