Editting problem with ins mode

when editing normal document, and I found
the " ins mode " happened , which is like hitting
ins key in some other editting software which
would happen, that is the cursor replacing the
selected character instead of adding the character
I typed after the cursor.

This happens when Iā€™m using latex text format in dynalist which is katex. i.e $$ text $$

I am not sure if this is normal and looking for
a way to solve it.

Wish to control it in a manner like hitting ins
key.

Environment

Additional comments

Sorry for the super late reply - this is intended behavior. The browser enforces the ā€œINSā€ insert mode.

Just press the insert key that sits on top of ā€œDeleteā€ should switch you out of the insert mode.
