Dynalist clipper extension

I just discovered the Clip to Dynalist Chrome extension. It only clips the URL but works well. Iā€™m actually using it with Vivaldi, which is my favourite browser. I also tried it with a gmail and it works fine including making the gmail subject part of the link string.

Far from the finished item, but handy never the less.

This was planned for Q1 2018 in Trello - any status update on a beta release? Thanks dynalist team!

Released for both Chrome and Firefox, care to search our blog?

Thanks Erica, I couldnā€™t find any mention of it on the blog or through Google, but for anyone whoā€™s looking for it this appears to be the official one:

I like it . Didnā€™t realize this existed.

Minor annoyance at the aim>click>aim>click required.

Could you make the Send button grab focus so I can just hit Enter? Or make a one-click option, seeing as I will never want to edit the default form?

You could create a keyboard shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts and combine with Ctrl/Cmd + Enter using an automation tool like AutoHotkey or Keyboard Maestro.

Ctrl+Enter will send. No need to click ā€œSendā€.

Hello

Are there any plans for a Safari extension, or cunning workarounds?

Cheers

Hmm, weā€™ll look into that, thanks for bringing that up!

Looks like Safari extensions are harder to publish, but weā€™ll give it a try.

This is awesome!

This might get easier with the web extension API coming in Big Sur. It should be an easy port as the API is the same / similar. Perhaps you can look into it again.

@Shida
Any updates on this? There even seems to be automatic tooling to convert chrome extensions. Probably not much manual work

Or even just an option when pasting urls to have them formatted with the link text format and leave the curser between the parenthesis so we can quickly type our own labels.

Wow, the safari extension is already available. Didnā€™t even see the announcement

Totally forgot to update this thread, yeah itā€™s available now.

The conversion process was fine, I just had to update xcode, which required an update to macOS so the script worked :joy:
