Double-click on one word results in a different word highlighted/selected [in italics]

Steps to reproduce

Double-click a word in italics text; the selection result is often a different word than the one clicked on.

Expected result

The word that is double-clicked should be the one selected.

Actual result

The word next to the one clicked ends up highlighted.

Environment

Mac OS 10.15.7
Dynalist App
Dynalist 1.4.9
No scripts

Keep in mind that the first click toggles the item from rendered, to markdown code. That is why words move. It’s an annoyance in all apps that are not WYSIWYG, but it works as intended, rather than being a bug.
