Colored labels make dates on dark theme unreadable

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a list.
  2. Assign a color label to a list item on any level.
  3. Set the theme to Dark.

Expected result

The date tag has a dark backgroud, so the text should be light-coloured.

Actual result

Both the date tag background and the text colour are dark.

Environment

Google Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS

Hi Jimenez,

Same issue here, hope to see an different approach when using theme’s so that tags, due date always be readable.

#design @Erica, please take a look into this.

Will fix! Last time we fixed tags being unreadable and now it’s time to fix dates.

@Erica I recently started having a very similar bug. It started happening right around when server maintenance was happening last night, so unless its a coincidence I think something happened then that caused it.

  1. Make an item with a date
  2. Change to dark theme

Now all dates and Dynalist links are unreadable because they are all white. They work fine on any other theme.

For clarification, the link ā€œGoogleā€ is red because I have a Chrome extension that turns links I’ve already visited red since I can’t distinguish whatever the default viewed-link color is with my color blindness. So in case this helps you, I’ll show you what it looks like after I click the internal link once:

However, there is nothing I can do to make the dates viewable.

In case you want to make sure it has nothing to do with this extension (Stylist), I can tell you two things:

  1. I got this extension long before using Dynalist, and haven’t changed the settings since. Also, dates worked fine before last night.
  2. The only thing Stylist changes is visited links:
