Reordering item in Android app does not scroll page

Steps to reproduce

Open document with more than a page worth of items in the Android app. Attempt to move (reorder) the top item to the bottom of the document.

Expected result

When you reach the bottom of the page while dragging the item the page scrolls down so that you can continue dragging the item down further to the location you wish to place it at.

Actual result

Once you drag the item to the bottom of the page (not the bottom of the document!) it stops and wonā€™t let you drag it down further. In order to get the item to the bottom of the document you have to repeatedly drag it to the bottom of the page, place it there, scroll down manually, redrag to the bottom of that page, etc.

OnePlus 5T, Android Pie

Just wanted to give this a bump. Itā€™s my single biggest complaint with an otherwise fantastic mobile experience. @Erica is this being tracked?

This should be working in the current latest version already. It takes about half a second to react and drags slowly. Could you confirm?

We just made it scroll faster, which is going out in the next mobile release (1.3.5).

Yep, can confirm that item-move-scrolling is working now (albeit slowly as you mentioned). Looking forward to the ā€œspeed upā€ in 1.3.5 :slight_smile:

@Erica Iā€™ve noticed that drag-scrolling on desktop appears slower than it used to be as well. Is this related to the change in order to enable mobile drag-scrolling? Will this be fixed (sped-up) in the next desktop release as well?

Yes, it will be fixed the next desktop release.

Desktop scrolling is now faster. On mobile it feels slightly faster, but not by much. It still feels way too slow.

Weird, they should be using the same code.

Is mobile scrolling faster when youā€™re in landscape mode?

@Erica Itā€™s working properly in Chrome on Android, but not in the native Android app. I checked in the Play Store and Iā€™m on the latest version.

It will be in the next release then, as the latest version was released on Sept 4.
