Pasting on top of whole item (rather than just contents) scrolls screen

Steps to reproduce

Copy some text (anything). Select an item (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-A) so that the blue highlight bar extends around the entire item, not just the contents. Paste (Ctrl-V).

Expected result

The content should be pasted into the item but the screen shouldn’t scroll.

Actual result

The content pasted correctly, but the screen jarringly scrolls upwards.

Initially it shows what happens when you only highlight the contents and paste, and it doesn’t scroll. Then it shows what happens when you highlight the whole item and paste, and it does scroll.

Environment

Chrome/Windows 10.

Can repro, will be fixed by next patch.
