Internal linking breaking when dragging node to create new file

Steps to reproduce

Starting from scratch, what are the steps to make the bug happen? The fewer the steps, the better.

  1. Create a new node called “AAA”.
  2. Create a internal link to this node
  3. Move the node to “My Files”, creating a new file called “AAA”

Expected result

What do you expect to see after carrying out the steps above?

I expect the internal link to update, so it points to the file “AAA”.

Actual result

Instead of the expected result, what happened?

The internal link breaks when converting a linked node to a file.

Environment

Which operating system are you using?
OSX
Which browser are you using?
Safari
If you’re using a desktop or mobile app, what’s the version number of Dynalist?
Are you using any third-party scripts for Dynalist, e.g. PowerPack?

Additional comments

Ah indeed a bug here, this specifically only affects dragging a node to become a document, and links that go to that node itself.

Hello @Shida,

Thanks for recognizing it as a bug. I ended up losing a few links when moving from node to new file… Not a big deal, though. Luckly I didn’t create many files.

Just one question: Is this fixable?

It should be, will probably try to include that in the next monthly release
