Does anyone actually use Enter to unindent?

after thinking about and based on my experience

and after knowing what the answer was

i was really surprised to see it was 50/50ish based on the small sample

neither of these two default are actually any ‘better’

because sometimes you want another ‘tabbed’ bullet *

but sometimes you want a blank line

i use blank lines (no it’s not call an item, that’s so dumb)

anyone that doesnt use blank lines

doesnt know how to use ANY note-taking software properly

because neither of these defaults are any better,

there needs to be a new innovative better solution

i picked the default to ‘tab’

for the best reason that this is fundamentally a list

and dyna is a list at the core

it makes much logical sense that a tabbed bullet *

would ‘tab’ upon the next line

it would not make any logical sense otherwise

but neither of these is better, it just makes more logical sense

it’s not practically better,

a tabbed list is not always or neccessarily better than a flat list

as a design choice, it is objectively & conclusively better

happy to consider any & all high quality points that directly counters anything that leads to a better answer than mines

i just saw that the answer was simple, and i dunno how i missed it

the answer is obviously

shift + enter

would make a new line

i mean who uses notes anyway, it’s not even useful

and it’s not actually hidden, it still takes up a whole entire line – unlike g-sheets

mentioned a long time ago (days or weeks i dunno know anymore) somewhere on this forum

ctrl + enter can be for notes
