Changing the Blue Color Label (Color Label 5) so that Selecting Text is Visible

The default Blue Color Label (Color Label 5) is very similar to the color of selected text.

This makes it difficult to tell what text you have selected. In the case of the Dark Theme, it makes it impossible.

Here, the word “test” is selected with the Light Theme:

Here, the word “test” is selected with the Dark Theme:

As you can see, it’s very difficult to tell what text was selected, especially with the Dark Theme.

I wonder if there were a way to change the default blue color label to avoid this (ex. to allow for more contrast)?

I know that I can use the Pro feature custom CSS to tweak this, but it might be valuable as a default setting.

Very true. Either the select color or color 5 ought to be changed in the default CSS. I would think making selection grey or blue-grey is a good option.

Another reason I’m glad I use the Dark Gold theme :wink:
It’s also easier on the eyes in terms of contrast.
