Backspace removes items that are not in search results

Steps to reproduce

  1. enter search term
  2. place cursor at beginning of an item that a) has collapsed children (I think this is required for the bug) b) has items above it that do not appear in search
  3. press backspace

Expected result

Expected either: backspace operates only on items appearing in search OR no text changes

Actual result

Items that are located immediately above the cursor are edited / “backspaced”. Note that you cannot see the items until they merge with the current item, which happens on a backspace.
