Sounds like a pretty advanced document editor feature... anyone else what this?
Are you writing a paper or something? My guess that no one else has brought this up is that people use Dynalist to outline things, not to actual write it. Before final proofreading, text in Dynalist is often transferred to programs like Microsoft Word or Pages, and those are the specialist programs for doing Smart Quotes and print settings and whatnot.
Does that make sense?
